Threats.watch is a non-commercial public interest research database documenting threats to democratic institutions in the United States. All content is compiled from public sources and reviewed by our editorial team before publication. This site generates no revenue and operates solely in the public interest.

Subjects documented are public figures whose actions impact democratic institutions. Content reflects documented allegations from cited sources. We maintain a formal corrections process and welcome factual disputes.

2. Editorial Process

All content on this site is reviewed by our editorial team before publication. We use research tools, including AI-assisted research, to compile information from public sources. However, all final editorial decisions—including what to publish, how to classify entities, and how to present information—are made by human editors.

Our five-tier classification system reflects both the nature and severity of documented anti-democratic activity. Tiers 1-3 require strong factual evidence. Tiers 4-5 involve more subjective assessment and are clearly marked as such. See our Methodology for details.

3. Disclaimer of Warranties

While we strive for accuracy, we make no guarantees regarding the completeness, accuracy, reliability, or suitability of the information contained on this site. Information may contain errors, become outdated, or reflect editorial judgments that reasonable people may disagree with.

Users should independently verify information before relying on it for any purpose. The presence of an entity in this database does not constitute a legal determination of guilt, liability, or wrongdoing.

4. User Submissions

By submitting information through our submission forms, you:

We maintain a formal process for disputing entries. Subjects of entries, or their authorized representatives, may submit disputes through our dispute form. We review all disputes within 5-7 business days and respond to the email address provided.

Disputes may result in corrections, additional context, tier reassessment, or removal of entries where fundamental claims are disproven. We maintain a public corrections log.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Threats.watch and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of this site or reliance on any information contained herein.

This site is operated as a non-commercial public interest project. We have no commercial relationship with any subject documented in this database.
